I envision a world where invisibly disabled people thrive and live happy, interdependent lives among community.
My mission is to improve the lives of neurodivergent individuals and families in Waterloo Region through building relationships, community, advocacy and education.
Busy is my chosen name, and for good reason. As an Autistic ADHDer, it is only fitting that my name represent my entire being. My journey in life may resonate with many other neurodivergent folks diagnosed later in life. To my fellow Chameleons - I see you.
In 2018, I thought I was a struggling neurotypical business owner and parent who just couldn’t do anything right. As hard as I tried, my daughter continued to struggle with school, friendships, and life, and I could not figure out how to juggle my workload and lead my team. As I navigated finding support for my daughter, I began to unravel the truth about my own neurology as well.
We weren’t failures, we were undiagnosed and unsupported autistic ADHDers living in a world not quite meant for people like us.
This realization changed my professional trajectory almost immediately, and so, here we are. I hope to hear your story soon!
